We are the only theatre company in our area to own our own venue, albeit an old converted cricket pavilion. Contrary to popular belief, the Green was not named after the shade the building used to be painted, but after the area in which it is situated - Barton Green.

Lucilla
Dramatic Society |
Founded
in 1920 they are possibly one of the oldest amateur theatre companies in
the country.
In addition to two 'high-profile' plays for the general public they also participate
in the well-regarded Lucilla Festival. Also they stage one-act plays, revues,
theme nights and various entertainments. It's also a showcase for new talent,
where fledgling directors, actors and writers can test their work, or develop
confidence, playing to a members-and-friends audience.
